For as long as I remember each day starts the same. I am forced into waking life with the same countless dream that floods my mind day in and day out. It is as if there was some point my mind was trying to make that I could never quite figure out and my punishment is to repeatedly be reminded of this failure of the obvious. For as long as I remember each day, starts like this.
I, a lone child wallows in a dark empty silence. Memories of a long ago past flood through my mind and I appear resting in a vast open meadow, surrounded by disturbingly familiar locations. In front of me lies a small farm, to my right a raging volcano and mountain range, to my left cliff faces that seemed to ascend limitlessly to the clouded sky above. I take a moment to look around me, the bright green grass of the meadow sheds a glowing light that contrasts against the brooding dark clouded sky above me.
